THE NEW PEA PATCH BEGINS TODAY!
Since 1976 thousands of parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, and players from throughout Washington have walked on the fields known as the "Pea Patch".  After a lengthy process, and building on our momentum/success at Petrovitsky Park, getting KSD to resurface Kentlake HS this summer, and assisting Covington in getting Phase 1 of their park started at 180th/240th in Covington, KYSA has begun a two year process to finally fix what some have called the worst soccer fields in Western Washington.

Phase 1 involves the northern 60% of the property with the leveling, planting of new grass, and installation of irrigation.  Phase 2 will begin next summer with a new park ready for complete use in the spring of 2014.  A long way off you say?  Yup, but we started our field plans at the Pea Patch in 1976, so 18 more months is not that long. We are excited to help bring to closure what so many dedicated board members have tried to do in the intervening 37 years. Here's to a great re-dedication ceremony just off on the horizon. Special Thank You to everyone who has given small donations over the past three years during registration and continue to; those dollars are going to good use.
